Libyan Rebels Inside Muammar Gaddafi House

Libyan rebels have entered Muammar Gaddafi's house after breaking into his vast Bab al-Aziziya compound in Tripoli what many believed the end of his 42-year rule. As with most dictator’s houses, it is lavishly furnished complete with a swimming pools and various artifacts.

Reuters reporters at the scene said rebels were firing shots into the air from within the compound in celebration. While it seems that the Gaddafi regime has all but collapsed, fighting continues and the whereabouts of Gaddafi and his sons are still unknown.

Steampunk-Style Apartment in Manhattan

A Filmmaker named Jeremy Noritz with a passion for Steampunk began renovating his 1.3 million dollar apartment when he bought it in 2006. Now he is selling the Manhattan dwelling for 1.75 million which is now fully Steampunk including the bedroom which resembles an exploded blimp.

It is fully featured with a nice kitchen and appears to have one bathroom and one bedroom. One thing that does jump out is the big private terrace that the apartment has. Anyone that lives in this place will certainly have the admiration of geeks all around the world that are into steampunk. The apartment has a very movie set feel to it.

Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love‘s daughter turns 19 next week and in this new photoshoot, Frances Bean Cobain is looking gorgeous than ever!

Designer and photographer Hedi Slimane posted these photographs of Frances on his website, showing her in glorious black and white. By the way, I do not condone smoking, but this picture is just too cool!

Rich Spanish Duchess of Alba to Wed at Age 85

One of Spain's richest nobles is to marry at the age of 85, wedding a man 25 years her junior despite initial opposition from her children. The Duchess of Alba whose full name is Maria del Rosario Cayetana Alfonsa Victoria Eugenia Francisca Fitz-James Stuart y de Silva, released a statement Tuesday saying she'll tie the knot with Alfonso Diez, 60, in early October. He is a civil servant in the government's social security administration, and this would be her third marriage.

The Duchess' offspring have been known to oppose the marriage. She said in a rare interview early this year she wanted to wed Diez but her children were against the idea. In July, however, she apparently placated them by dividing up much of her vast wealth among them, assigning castles, palaces and other property of the 500-year-old House of Alba which they will inherit upon her death. They are reported to be satisfied with the divvying up of her estate, and media have since been speculating as to when wedding bells might toll.

The Best Wedding Photos Ever

Julian Sunmi Park and Benjamin Jinsuk Lee got married and opted to take some of the coolest, dorkiest wedding photos possible. I like this because it’s a fun way to assert your nerdiness at your wedding without dressing up like a Klingon. It’s a perfect compromise!

The album, shot by Amanda Rynda, shows the couple having a simple picnic that goes terribly wrong. The idea came when Ben said he wanted a more masculine take on the wedding photo.

World's Smallest Origami by Anja Markiewicz

Origami, the Japanese art of folding paper, is impressive enough on its own, let alone when it’s done in miniature form. Yet that’s what German artist Anja Markiewicz does, creating amazingly tiny sculptures of things like animals and snowflakes out of paper. Many of her tiniest paper cranes measure only 4mm across (check out those fingerprints for a sense of scale).
