Fish cluster at an ice hole, covered with thin pieces of ice, struggling for air in a pond in a park in St. Petersburg, Russia. As the long Russian winter drags on, fish in the ponds of St. Petersburg become increasingly desperate for oxygen, clustering in vast, thrashing masses at shrinking holes in the ice. Not only does ice block oxygen that could be diffused into the water from the air, but it also impedes sunlight from reaching oxygen-generating plants and algae in the water.

Louis Mantin was a French gentleman who at the age of 42 inherited a fortune from his father and thenceforth dedicated his life to pleasure, science and the arts. He died in 1905 and his last wish in the testament was that his house should stay sealed 100 years and be reopened as a museum. The mansion was closed up and fell into dilapidation. Now thanks to a 3.5m euro ($4.7m) refit funded by local authorities, it has been returned to its original pristine state. Here are several photos of that remarkable time-capsule.

She is the sexiest actress alive! The undisputable queen of hottness on the big screen. Salma was at the WWD Summit Dinner and was looking stunning! Would you expect anything less from the most beautiful Latina in Hollywood. I’ve had a crush on Salma Hayek since she first became a starlett and there is no doubt that she continues to be stunningly beautiful and she always impresses when she makes an appearance. She is dressed with elegance I’m teased. Salma is starting to age but she is wine at its finest and is becoming better with age.
